When will DOG BLOOD be released?
The release of DOG BLOOD is currently scheduled for release on 17 June 2010 in the US and UK. Release dates for all other countries have yet to be announced.

How many books make up the HATER series?
There will be three books in the HATER series. The title of the third book is yet to be announced.

Will there be an audio book of HATER?
Yes! The audio adaptation, read by Gerard Doyle was released through Blackstone Audio in August 2009. The book is available on CD, MP3 CD, cassette and as a download through Audible.com. Click here for more information.
An audiobook of DOG BLOOD will be released in due course.

When will the AUTUMN books be re-released?
I'm currently discussing this with my publisher. No specific dates have yet been agreed. I'll update this website (and I'll re-launch www.theinfected.co.uk) as soon as I have more information. It's likely that the first book will be released between September - October 2010.

In which order should the books be read?
The AUTUMN series should be read in the following order: 1). AUTUMN, 2). AUTUMN: THE CITY, 3). AUTUMN: PURIFICATION, 4). AUTUMN: DISINTEGRATION, 5). AUTUMN: THE HUMAN CONDITION. The first three books are a trilogy which follow the same characters throughout. DISINTEGRATION is a stand-alone novel (although much of the story is shaped by the events which take place in PURIFICATION). THE HUMAN CONDITION is made up of more than 20 short stories set in the AUTUMN world, some featuring characters from the other books.

Where's the free download?
Following the acquisation of the AUTUMN series by Thomas Dunne Books, the free download of AUTUMN has been discontinued. Hey... don't shout at me - it was available for more than 5 years and in excess of half a million people downloaded it!

What was AUTUMN: ECHOES?
AUTUMN: ECHOES was a collection of brief stories which explained the background of some of the supporting characters from the AUTUMN novels. Every 'ECHO' is available as part of THE HUMAN CONDITION.

Yes. The current plan is to expand THE HUMAN CONDITION for its republication with new ECHOES (based on characters from DISINTEGRATION) and additional short stories / novellas.

When will AUTUMN: DISINTEGRATION be released?
Please see the answer to AUTUMN questions 1 and 9. On a personal note, I'm acutely aware that lots of people have been waiting a long time to read this book and I'm sorry for the delay. For various personal reasons, it took me a long time to write (I originally hoped to release it in late 2006 but wasn't able to finish it until June 2008). Then, literally days before I was due to publish the novel through Infected Books, I received an offer for the series from the publishers of HATER. Ultimately, selling the books to Thomas Dunne Books will allow me to reach a much larger readership than I would have been able to reach working on my own. That, in turn, has given me more freedom to write. Long term, therefore, more people will get to read more of my books. In the short term, however, people who've been following me for some time might feel like they've been penalised for their loyalty. I hope everyone understands. There will be a blog post / discussion about this in the very near future...

Why can I get the books in German and no other language right now?
The German language AUTUMN deal was concluded prior to Thomas Dunne Books acquiring all other rights to the series. Books 1 - 4 (HERBST: BEGINN, HERBST: STADT, HERBST: LAUTERUNG and HERBST: ZERFALL) are now available. The books are published by Otherworldverlag of Austria and more information is available here.

Whatever happened to MARK THANE?
MARK THANE was the serialized story of a man who may, or may not, have around 35 days left to live. Unfortunately for Mark, the AUTUMN and HATER books took off when I was only a few days into his story. He will return one day, but it won't be for another year at least!
